I just read somewhere that Michael R. Pardue, who was wrongly convicted of murder way back in 1973, has his civil rights lawsuit reinstated by the federal appeals court in Atlanta. Micheal Pardue has already spent 27 years in prison since his was only 17.
Michael R. Pardue claimed that while he was being interrogated in the deaths of two service station operators in 1973, Saraland, Ala., police and Mobile County sheriff’s investigators beat him, starved him and also denied him access to a lawyer. Back in August 2004, a federal judge dismissed Michael Pardue’s lawsuit claiming the statute of limitations had expired when he filed the action in 1999.
My god, 27 years is a long time to spend behind bars. I’d go nuts of i were Michael Pardue. May God bless you, Michael Pardue.
